Dieser Antoninian des römischen Kaisers Claudius Gothicus zeigt auf dem Avers seine Büste nach rechts mit Mantel und Strahlenkrone. Die Legende IMP(ERATOR) CLAVDIVS P(IVS) F(ELIX) AVG(VSTVS) nennt seinen Kaisertitel. Auf dem Revers ist die Göttin der Hoffnung Spes abgebildet – zu erkennen an ihrer typischen Ikonographie: Nach links schreitend mit einer Blume in ihrer erhobenen Rechten und ihrer Linken, die gerade ihr Gewand schürzt. Die Legende SPES PVBLICA gibt hier ihre Rolle als Hoffnung des Staates an. Im Abschnitt der Münze befindet sich der Buchstabe P.
